When the stars came down

When the stars came downThe weekend saw a few star visits in the city. And it was all happening on Magrath Road, that currently wears an unsightly look, what with every inch of it being dug up. Not the best road if the city needs to make an impression on star visitors.

On Friday, the gorgeous Deepika Padukone was in her hometown to launch the Bangalore branch of ace hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar's salon.

Clad in an electric blue jeans and a white tee, the dimpled actress showed off her chic French plait even as she cut the ribbon.

Deepika, who's worked with Adhuna's husband Farhan Akhtar in Karthik Calling Karthik, spoke about her association with the hairstylist and also about her forthcoming films. Several school girls made a beeline on the busy Magrath road to catch a glimpse of their favourite star.

Deepika disappointed none; she signed autographs and even posed with them after zipping away in a blue car.
