Miss Australia blasted for see-through gown

Miss Universe Australia is feeling the heat at the beauty pageant after being told that her evening gown and bikini are offensive and revealing.

The 21-year-old contestant Scherri-Lee Biggs was told that her satin evening gown was offensively "see-through" and her bikini way too sexy, the Daily Telegraph reported.

Along with being instructed to cover up, Biggs has also been ordered to make her bikini bottoms larger to ensure it holds everything in place while catwalking on the ramp.

"There's been a problem with the evening dress because it's too sheer," Miss Universe Australia director Deborah Miller said during rehearsals for Tuesday's final in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Biggs is ranked just behind Miss China and Miss USA by most betting agencies to take the crown and become Australia's next Jennifer Hawkins.

Biggs is not the only contestant who is facing the music. The judges have already warned three other contestants over risque photographs.
